CBCCT Eligibility Changes in 2021

The following changes have been implemented to CBCCT Eligibility Criteria:

  • Adoption of the 2015 COCATS 4 Task Force 7 Cardiovascular Computed Tomography training guidelines:

    Training in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography Level 2 training requirements (revised 2015) for Cardiology certification Applicants, to include a minimum of 250 cases, for which, in a minimum of 65 cases, the physician was physically present and involved in the acquisition, interpretation and reporting of the study. All cases must have been completed in the 36 months prior to application submission.

  • NOTE: Phase-out of the Experience Pathway is delayed and will NOT take effect in 2022. As of 2021, all Applicants must provide evidence of a minimum of 250 cases, for which, in a minimum of 65 cases, the physician was physically present and involved in the acquisition, interpretation and reporting of the study. Note: Experience Pathway Candidates who sat for the CBCCT certification examination prior to 2021 and who failed will be able to sit in 2022 (if needed).​​
