Applicants must, at the time of application, hold a current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S. or their country of residence.
Testamur Applicants – Applicants with a training medical license may apply to sit for the examination in a Testamur status provided that at the time of application they are in Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine or Radiology training
Upon successfully passing the CBCMR examination, Testamur Candidates will remain in this status until documentation of Board Certification in their specialty and current, unrestricted medical license is received by staff. Conversion must take place within six years of passing the CBCMR examination. Once this documentation is received, Testamurs will be granted Diplomate status with CBCMR and their names will be listed in the Directory of Certificants on the APCA website.
Documentation to Verify Medical Licensure
Applicants may use any of the following to document their medical license:
- a photocopy of your medical license wallet card;
- a photocopy of your wall-mounted license; or
- a printout from your state medical board website.
