Important Notice for ABVM Certificants
For ABVM certifications expiring in 2025, APCA/ABVM will be introducing a Maintenance of Certification (MOC) pilot program. This program will be focused on Continual Learning and Engagement in place of a 10-year recertification assessment.
The new MOC program will include the annual elements approved by the APCA Council:
- Demographic Updates
- CME Requirements
- Attesting to APCA rules and policies
- Annual or Periodic Renewal Fee
- Completed required knowledge checks (short quizzes)
Details of the requirements for the 2025 pilot will be made available in the coming months.
This pilot program will help determine the final process and requirements for ABVM certification holders through 2026 and thereafter.
We appreciate your dedication to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice. Please stay tuned for further updates on how to participate in this important initiative.
